All-purpose polyester thread, my favorite is Gutermann Mara 100
Schmetz Microtex 70/10 or 80/12 sewing machine needles
About 1/3 yard of outer fabric, I use a lightweight cotton/linen canvas
About 1/3 yard of quilting cotton for lining fabric
About 1/3 yard of quilt batting, I use cotton, but you can use insul-bright if you want.
